QA Automation Tester
Duration: 1 Year Extensions
Location: Midtown Manhattan
Schedule: 2x/week Onsite
Interview Process: 1 Virtual 1 Onsite
Key Things Hiring Manager is Looking for:
- Experience writing automation tests from scratch.
- Java/Selenium automation experience. Any Python experience would be a big plus
- Experience working with CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins and Git)
- Junit experience
- Experience within a Banking environment.
QA ROLE:
Job Title: QA Automation Tester
Job Description: Looking for an experienced QA tester with extensive knowledge in automation testing who can perform functional regression and backend testing using automation testing tools. Well aware of QA methodologies and demonstrate strong analytical knowledge to design and develop test scenarios for through testing and reporting defects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and develop detailed test cases and test scripts.
- Responsible for developing or enhancing of existing Automation framework.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining automation test scripts and test suite for multiple applications.
- Responsible for monitoring automaton test execution and reporting defects.
- Managing and tracking work using management tools like JIRA or HP ALM.
- Responsible for writing test plans outlining scope approach resources and schedule of test activities.
- Produce Defect Metrics and prioritize bugs/issues based on severity.
Technical Skills / Tools:
- 6 years overall QA experience
- 4 years of hands-on experience in Core Java/Python Selenium WebDriver.
- 3 years of experience in design and development of Automation framework.
- 4 years of experience writing automated test scripts using test framework such as JUnit or TestNG
- 3 years of experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with JIRA and Zephyr test management tool.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in UNIX VB or Shel scripting.
- Experience configuring CI/CD environment using tools like Jenkins Maven SVN/GIT.
- Experience in Web service/API automation using Java.
- Experience in cross browser testing with Selenium GRID feature.
- Experience with Page Object Model Design Patterns and hybrid framework.
- Experience in Data validation and Data Quality testing using ETL tools is preferred.
- Experience in Compliance platform or equivalent Investment Banking domain is preferred.
