Job Description:
The Payment Integrations team is responsible for connecting alternative payment methods to the organisation s core infrastructure. This includes building integrations with major payment providers while also supporting smaller partners with API integrations. The team constantly works on extending functionality and improving automation to enable more ways for customers to pay across the continent.
Your Daily Adventures Include:
- Design build and integrate features for new and ongoing payment integration projects.
- Ensure secure compliant and scalable processing infrastructure.
- Independently investigate and resolve integration issues using logs code analysis and monitoring tools.
- Skilled in designing scalable and elegant integration solutions.
- Ability to own projects from design through to deployment and support.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced high-scale environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Works effectively in a fully remote team and cross-functionally with product ops and external partners.
Requirements
What It Takes To Succeed:
- 6 years of experience in cloud-based backend development.
- Proficient in Python.
- Solid experience with AWS services such as Lambda API Gateway and Serverless frameworks.
- Strong database skills with MySQL and MongoDB.
- Bonus: Experience integrating third-party payment methods.
- Languages: Python
- Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda API Gateway S3 Serverless)
- Databases: MongoDB MySQL
- Tools: Jira Confluence Git Postman Cypress
- CI/CD: GitLab Pipelines
- Monitoring: Grafana Sentry
