The Department of Orthopaedics is recruiting for an experienced Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join 14 Orthopedic Surgeons and 22 PA/NPs on staff. This person will work closely with one Pediatric Orthopaedic surgeon. Major area of focus will be in Pediatric Orthopaedic Trauma/Surgery. Basic duties may include: general clinic practice emergency evaluations post-op checkups outreach duties OR equipment set-up first assisting and rounding with in-patients. The PA/NP will support the assigned surgeon with histories physicals casting splinting evaluations treatment planning and post-op care. This role will work cooperatively with athletic trainers physical therapists nurses and support staff and share call equally. A Wisconsin license and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program is required.
