  • Job Title: Part-Time Tutoring/Testing Center Monitor
    Reports to: Director of Student Learning
    Terms and Conditions: Part-time 10-months 12 hours per week. Monday-Thursday: 2:30 p.m. 5:00 p.m. and Friday: 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
    Salary: $21.55 per hour per current CPA Collective Bargaining Agreement (grade 3).


    Position Summary:

    The primary responsibility of the Tutoring/Testing Center Monitor is to provide supervision of students in the Student Resource Center/Testing Centerand encourage safe and appropriate conduct. This role includes monitoring students checking in students distributing tests and maintaining data related to student usage of both centers.

    Essential Position Responsibilities:

    1. Monitor students entering and exiting the Student Resource Center.
    2. Supervise students of the Learning Stairs.
    3. Support a positive and welcoming environment.
    4. Encourage appropriate student conduct.
    5. Assist students in the event of an emergency.
    6. Provide ongoing communication to administrators regarding student safety concerns.
    7. Report and document violations of school policies.
    8. Assistin the day-to-day operations of the Testing Center including the distributionand proctoring of tests.
    9. Ensurethe security of tests and testing materials to maintain academic integrity.
    10. Supportafter-school testing services ensuring adherence to test security and confidentiality procedures.
    11. Collectand maintains data on student participation in both the Testing and Tutoring Centers preparing reports as requested by the supervisor.
    12. Ensureaccurate records of students utilizing the centers including number of students served and services accessed.
    13. Provideexcellent customer service to students staff and faculty.
    14. Referstudents to appropriate support services (e.g. counseling academic advising).
    15. Assistin maintaining a positive and secure environment in the Testing and Tutoring Centers.
    16. Performadditional related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:


    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport with students staff parents and community.
    • Strong organizationalskills.
    • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
    • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
    • Basic proficiency in data collection and reporting.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.


    Physical Skills and Demands:

    Sitting talking hearing visual acuity communicating well with students and controlling up to 30 students in an interactive atmosphere.
