Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Gastroenterology

Summary: Join a reputable healthcare facility in West Jordan Utah as a locum gastroenterologist. This role offers coverage for both clinic and procedures Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Your expertise will help fill gaps in their current coverage and you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive outpatient clinic setting equipped with a dedicated team and advanced facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide clinic and procedure coverage including EGD and general GI cases.
Conduct 12-15 procedures per day.
Manage patient care for 40-50 clinic patients per week.
Collaborate with support staff including MAs and RNs.
Perform procedures in three procedure rooms utilizing max sedation and anesthesiologist supervision.
Utilize EMR systems specifically EPIC and Provation for patient management.
Adhere to scheduled shifts managing a mix of clinic and procedure days as needed.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Required)
Gastro Fellowship (Required)
Active BLS and CSR (Required for credentialing)
Active DEA (Required for credentialing; site will consider a transferred DEA)
Clear malpractice history (Highly Preferred)
Clean background (Required)
Availability for specified work dates (Required)

License and Certification Requirements:

Active Utah medical license (Highly Preferred)
Clean NPDB report at the time of presentation (Preferred)
Familiarity with ERCP preferred but not mandatory (Required to note availability)
