Our client a welcoming and close-knit nursery is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Nursery Practitioner to join their team. The nursery is especially keen to welcome someone eager to develop their skills towards a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) role making this an ideal next step for a committed early years professional looking to grow their expertise.
What Were Looking For
- Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification essential.
- Previous experience as a Senior Nursery Practitioner Room Leader or similar leadership role in an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and best practice in early childhood education.
- A genuine passion for supporting childrens development in a nurturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm to develop SENCO expertise (previous SEN experience beneficial but not essential).

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a small team to deliver outstanding early years care and education.
- Plan deliver and evaluate engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Support childrens individual learning journeys fostering both development and confidence.
- Build strong positive relationships with children parents and carers.
- Maintain a safe stimulating and inclusive environment for all children.
- Support the nurserys SEN provision and take steps towards SENCO responsibilities.
- Ensure all safeguarding health and safety requirements are met at all times.
