The Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC) is seeking a Workforce Development Technical Specialist to join the Office of Unemployment Insurance to provide project management and programmatic assistance to staff in HiRE Communications and HiRE System Security.
OUIA oversees Louisianas Unemployment Insurance (UI) program which provides temporary financial assistance to eligible workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own. The office manages the full UI lifecycle including employer tax collection benefit claims processing fraud prevention and appeals.

Job Duties:
As the statewide Integration communications program coordinator actively leads the development creation and execution of special campaigns events and projects for HIRE in support of agency programs and activities.
As Statewide Integration System security program coordinator reviews and evaluates office operations for compliance.
Continually monitors and validates assigned roles privileges and work item responsibilities for staff members.
Utilize basic project management skills to manage all assigned projects.
Serves as a backup to develop an annual outreach and communication plan that identifies schedules and provides resources for all aspects of LWC customer outreach efforts.
As Statewide Integration backup program coordinator for the Employer Portal reviews and evaluates early adopter feedback to improve customer experience research enhancements and works with vendors to implement improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as either a Probational or a Job Appointment (open to all qualified applicants); a Promotion (open to all statewide classified and agency-wide permanent status employees); or by Detail to Special Duty. Current permanent status classified employees may be required to accept a Probational appointment if selected. If filled as a Job Appointment there is a possibility that this position may be converted to a Probational Appointment should funding become available.
