Join Our Urology Team in Jackson MI!
Henry Ford Jackson Hospital part of the esteemed Henry Ford Health System is on the lookout for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Urologist to enhance our renowned facility in Jackson Michigan. Located just 77 miles west of Detroit our hospital is committed to providing exceptional care through innovative practices and a supportive medical community. We pride ourselves on delivering quality healthcare to the Jackson area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients as per urological standards.
- Participate in outpatient inpatient rounds and clinic duties.
- Adhere to a collaborative call rotation of 1:4 ensuring a balanced work-life schedule.
- Conduct surgeries with two dedicated OR days per week and manage clinic responsibilities for 2.5 days weekly.
- Consult with patients typically seeing 22 patients daily.
- Oversee procedures such as disposable cystoscopies vasectomies and prostate biopsies.
- Engage in continuous professional development and maintain necessary certifications.
- Work closely with a skilled support staff including Advanced Practice Professionals and Medical Assistants.
- Commit to community involvement through our Graduate Medical Education program.
Qualifications:
- TRULY Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within 6 months) or Board Certified in Urology.
- Current Michigan state license (or willingness to obtain).
- Up-to-date flu vaccination (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA and CSR/CDS certifications (must be obtained prior to start).
- Clean malpractice and license history.
- Commitment to working within the community and collaborating with existing healthcare teams.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain.
- Board Certification or eligibility in Urology.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Valid DEA and CSR/CDS certificates prior to employment.
