What We Need YOU To Do:
We are looking for a motivated person with a passion for the environment to join our Division of Materials and Waste Management (DMWM) a nationally recognized leader in traditional and innovative waste materials management at our Southwest District Office in Dayton.
Interested in traveling around Ohio to protect our environment
In this position youll ensure Ohios waste management facilities are constructed and operated in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. This includes traveling to waste disposal sites to conduct compliance inspections and investigate cases where enforcement is necessary youll develop strategies for bringing facilities back into compliance.
When not in the field youll review technical documents and prepare reports pertaining to existing and proposed DMWM facilities. Youll also review and evaluate waste management programs and plans for local health districts to determine their compliance with state standards.
Well lean on your subject knowledge and customer service skills to provide effective outreach technical assistance and education on proper waste management rules and operations to the regulated community local officials health departments and the public.
