Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The US Prostate Cancer Business is one of the largest and fastest growing businesses within Pfizer Oncology. The portfolio includes three in-line brands (ORGOVYX XTANDI and TALZENNA).

ORGOVYX is a treatment for men with advanced prostate cancer. It received FDA approval in Dec 2020 and launched in early 2021 with our co-promote partner Sumitomo Pharma America Inc. ORGOVYX is a priority brand and key growth driver for the Prostate Cancer Portfolio. Since launch it has treated >100000 patients and has delivered double digit growth every year.

The ORGOVYX Consumer Marketing Lead is a critical role on the team offering an experienced consumer marketer the opportunity to own all aspects of the ORGOVYX consumer marketing mix and be part of a mission-driven innovative and talented team of diverse colleagues. The Consumer Lead will drive the strategic direction and vision for ORGOVYX patient marketing efforts.

Responsibilities include overseeing an omnichannel patient activation campaign driving innovative messaging enhanced segmentation to support optimal targeting and creative campaign development and production. The colleague will have the opportunity to demonstrate significant leadership across the Alliance cross-functionally and with our agency teams (creative and media).

This role also offers the opportunity to shape important patient education initiatives with the goal of empowering patients to be part of their treatment choices. Working with real patients the Consumer Lead will develop authentic content from advanced Prostate Cancer patients.

The role requires strong strategic communication and analytical thinking as well as creativity judgment and decision-making skills. An ideal candidate will bring strong patient marketing experience and a strategic mindset to lead and innovate in all aspects of engagement with patients caregivers and patient advocacy group.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own ORGOVYX Consumer strategy and tactical plan development to drive business objectives. Ensure strategies and tactics take latest thinking from the CMO into account (without the co-promote being part of the CoLab model)

  • Oversee and develop ORGOVYXs best-in-class omnichannel DTC creative campaign leading creative development messaging evolution and production. Lead potential OPDP submissions and creative updates based on latest FDA guidance.

  • Own the media strategy and plan across all channels. Refine targeting to reflect consumer segmentation and audience profiling.

  • Oversee performance metrics of patient activation activities and make recommendations to optimize real time.

  • Provide regular senior leader updates on direct-to-consumer strategies tactics and performance

  • Lead the ORGOVYX Ambassador program recruiting new patients to develop new and powerful content.

  • Lead multi-channel patient education efforts including branded and unbranded platforms ensuring that we fulfill the needs of our patients.

  • Understand the evolving competitive marketplace and broader changes in the Oncology/Urology landscape to refine or develop new tactics that will cut through the clutter and help drive patient demand for ORGOVYX.

  • Partner with Corporate Affairs Govt Relations and Advocacy to develop programs in support of Prostate Cancer patients.

  • Work with HCP Marketing team to ensure connectivity between HCP and consumer campaign/customer insights

  • Own the Alliance Consumer Marketing budget of >$15M.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • BA/BS - degree required

  • 8 years of experience with 7 years commercial/marketing experience including 2 years of consumer pharma marketing

  • US Consumer/Patient marketing experience required with a track record of significantly contributing to launch performance and/or growth of inline brands

  • Demonstrated strong consumer marketing insights & strategy capabilities:

    • Understanding of consumer patient and needs preferences and behaviors along the customer journey

    • Strong understanding of media planning and metrics

    • Utilizing advanced analytics to measure attribution and drive marketing performance marketing mix improvements and higher marketing ROI

    • Leveraging technology and platforms and use them to drive greater automation and better outcomes

    • Understanding the art and science of positioning activating and governing brands over time

    • Creating better faster and smarter content tailored to brands segments and channels to support integrated marketing execution

    • Constructing and managing tests (e.g. A/B) to optimize marketing efficiency and effectiveness across brands audiences and channels (i.e. agile marketing)

  • Confidence and ingenuity to initiate create and bring ambiguity into action

  • Strong analytical skills detail and action oriented creative flexible self-motivated.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences

  • Fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and lead colleagues outside of a direct reporting relationship through influence and persuasio

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Oncology experience preferred but not required

  • DTC TV experience preferred

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Copromote experience is a plus

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169700.00 to $282900.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
