Job Description
Role: Support Worker
Location: Gloucester
Hours: 45 hours per week
Pay: 12.56 per hour
DBS Check: This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check which will be provided by Prosperity Care & Wellbeing.

Your Role:
You will be supporting an individual with a diagnosis of Huntingtons. He is a lively and social person who finds joy in music dancing and being out in the community. He will require both physical and emotional support to continue engaging in the activities he loves. Due to the individuals needs you will need to have a Full UK driving licence and business insurance for this role and be comfortable working around dogs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with daily living activities which may include personal care meal preparation financial support and medication management.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual by following care plans and risk assessments.
- Promote independence and encourage the individual to make choices about their care and lifestyle
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the support team and family members.
- To provide emotional and practical support.
Requirements:
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Experience supporting individuals with Huntingtons learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities is desirable
- Comfortable with providing personal care and using moving and handling techniques
- Patient calm and able to offer emotional reassurance
- Reliable compassionate and able to work as part of a small team
