Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to oversee and facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART) activities across multiple Agile teams. The RTE will coordinate and align teams ensure continuous improvement and help deliver value on-time and within scope.

Contributions

  • Organize and lead PI planning sessions ensuring all teams are aligned on objectives and milestones
  • Collaborate with Product Managers Scrum Masters and team leads to ensure alignment resolve bottlenecks and facilitate dependencies between teams
  • Identify communicate and remove obstacles that hinder ART progress escalating issues when necessary
  • Conduct retrospectives gather feedback and implement changes to improve team effectiveness and quality
  • Track and report on program progress key performance indicators and delivery timelines to stakeholders
  • Work with business leaders and product owners to ensure ART objectives align with broader organizational goals
  • Coordinate backlog refinement prior to PI Planning event; coach Product Owners
  • Manage PI execution being responsible for Coach Sync events and Product Owner Sync events
  • Maintain and manage the Planning Board to minimize dependency risk

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Business or related field
  • 5 years of experience in a program management or Agile coaching role with 2 years specifically as an RTE or in a SAFe environment
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale Agile projects ideally SAFe
  • Ability to address complex challenges remove impediments and support high-quality delivery
  • Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g. JIRA) and familiar with KPIs and metrics tracking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and foster collaboration
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification preferred
  • Additional SAFe certifications preferred
