The Records Office is seeking a student assistant for our outgoing transcripts who is dependable
and detail-oriented with accurate record-keeping skills and strict attention to detail. Must be able
to work during all breaks graduation weekend and most importantly during the
summer. Reports to the Assistant Registrar for Academic Records.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to and meeting or exceeding the needs
of the customer. - Will be required to answer a high volume of phone calls and must be able to multitask.
- Must have the ability to interact effectively with department staff as well as campus and
outside community. - Verify accuracy of student records prior to release.
- Process prepare and fulfill official transcript requests for students and conferences
including printing packaging and sending both paper and electronic transcripts via
approved systems (e.g. Parchment). - Ensure compliance with FERPA and university policies.
- Respond to student inquiries regarding transcript requests via email.
- Perform data entry and record keeping.
- Must be willing to assist during Graduation weekend.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Experience:
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel Word Google Sheets Google Docs and Gmail
and other related computer applications. - Experience with Internet Explorer/Chrome/Firefox.
- Previous office experience preferred and Banner.
Qualification:
- Must be a current student at La Sierra University to apply.
- Maintain good academic standing/citizenship.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Challenging and dynamic office environment that can be stressful at times due to the
amount of data coming into the office. - The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift
and/or move up to 25.
Pay Rate:16.50/hr. - 18.30/hr.
