Job Description

  • Part-time (19 hours per week) permanent position available in Loganholme Qld
  • Up to $52.52ph Super Salary Packaging and vehicle options

Your new role

Join our Early Childhood Approach (ECA) team as an Early Intervention Speech Pathologist and make a meaningful impact for children aged 0-6 years with developmental delays and their families. We embrace a relationship-based approach fostering strong connections with families to support each childs unique journey.

Utilising thekey-worker model you will be the primary point of contact ensuring consistent and family centred care. Our work is short term sessions are community based and occur across a 3-month will be supporting a culturally diverse clientele and part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of Speech Pathologists Occupational Therapists Physiotherapists and Early Childhood Educators.

Your day-to-day

  • Based from home 50% of the time.
  • Perform functional assessments for young children to determine appropriate supports
  • Collaborate with families and trans-disciplinary teams to implement individualised intervention plans.
  • Provide direct Speech Pathology services in both individual and group settings.
  • Support families educators and professionals in creating inclusive environments and staying updated on best practices.

Skills and Experience

You will be a qualified Speech Pathologist with significant practice experience and:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology (essential).
  • Registration with Speech Pathology Australia (essential).
  • Experience working with young children with developmental delays or disability and their families.
  • Openness to work in an innovative dynamic and relationally informed early intervention model.
  • Knowledge of early childhood intervention principles and best practice.
  • Current drivers license willingness/ability to travel to clients (pool cars provided).
  • Current Blue Card.
