Job Description
Job Opportunity: Pulmonary Critical Care Physician
Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in a vibrant facility located on the banks of the Mississippi River in Davenport Iowa. This permanent position offers a collaborative environment alongside four other experienced physicians. With a focus on both inpatient and outpatient care youll play a pivotal role in delivering quality healthcare in a community that values wellness and comfort.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient outpatient and ICU care including shared call and procedures.
- Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants in clinical settings.
- Manage an average of 20 ICU patients daily with the support of nurse practitioners.
- Conduct procedures such as chest tube insertions bronchoscopy and thoracentesis.
- Oversee the treatment and management of various pulmonary diseases including asthma COPD and interstitial lung disease.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
- Participate in the training and supervision of healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine.
- Completed fellowship in Pulmonary Disease/Critical Care Medicine.
- Experience with procedures such as ETT/NT/Tracheostomy and management of thoracic diseases.
- Clean malpractice history preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- IA medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- ACLS certification required.
