Join Our Team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Oncology/Hematology!

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center in Ashtabula OH is seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to become a vital part of our healthcare team. Located on the picturesque coastline of Lake Erie Ashtabula is perfectly situated just an hour away from Cleveland Ohio and Erie Pennsylvania. With a community hospital that houses over 180 beds and serves around 98000 residents you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a daily patient load of 15-20 in an outpatient setting and 3-5 in-hospital patients.
  • Work a full-time negotiable schedule with on-call requirements of 10 days per month.
  • Serve a diverse patient demographic with 50% adults and 50% geriatrics.
  • Focus on a patient mix of 25% Hematology and 75% Oncology.
  • Collaborate with 2 physicians in a growing practice.
  • Utilize EPIC as the electronic medical record system.
  • Participate in the Tumor Board and manage blood bank orders tests and prescriptions.
  • Perform various procedures including management of VAD/CV Catheters FNA/Biopsy and Chemotherapy.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified NP/PA.
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience as an NP/PA in a Hematology/Oncology setting.
  • Strong experience with managing procedures and participating in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must live within a 40-mile radius of Ashtabula or be willing to relocate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and colleagues effectively.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Active Ohio NP/PA license (or the willingness to obtain one).
  • BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • DEA registration (to be obtained prior to start).
