Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for NP/PA in Oncology/Hematology in Ashtabula OH
Join a leading healthcare facility in Ashtabula OH situated along the beautiful coastline of Lake Erie just an hour away from Cleveland and Erie Pennsylvania. This vibrant community is home to the Ashtabula Regional Medical Center a fully accredited 186-bed acute care hospital serving approximately 98000 residents. Our multispecialty group practice boasts over 60 providers including 21 in primary care providing a collaborative and supportive environment for our healthcare professionals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage 15-20 outpatient patients and 3-5 inpatient patients daily.
- Full-time negotiable schedule with on-call responsibilities (10 days per month).
- Provide care in an outpatient practice setting focusing on a 50/50 split of adult and geriatric populations.
- Engage in a practice that focuses on 25% hematology and 75% oncology.
- Collaborate with 2 physicians and utilize the EPIC EMR system for patient documentation.
- Participate in the growth of a new patient care tower projected to open in 2024.
- Provide in-person care; telemedicine options not available.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience as an NP/PA in a Hematology/Oncology-specific clinic or hospital setting.
- Board Certification as an NP/PA is required.
- Experience in managing procedures related to VAD/CV catheters FNAs/biopsies and chemotherapy administration.
- Ability to participate actively in training and educational sessions with tumor boards and blood banks.
- Willingness to relocate or reside within a 40-mile radius of Ashtabula.
License and Certification Requirements:
- State of Ohio NP/PA license (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA registration must be obtained prior to start.
