Job Description
Oncology Physician Opportunity in Coos Bay OR
Join our esteemed team in the serene community of Coos Bay Oregon where exceptional work-life balance meets coastal charm. We are seeking two full-time or part-time Medical Oncologists and/or Hematologists to join our renowned cancer center serving as the primary hub for top-tier cancer care across the southern coast of Oregon.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accept part-time (48 hours per pay period) and full-time (80 hours per pay period) candidates.
- BE (within 2 years) / BC in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
- Practice Radiation Oncology with a strong record or be an excellent recent graduate.
- Manage patient demographics averaging 20% Hematology and 80% Oncology.
- Average patient load of 10-15 per day in the clinic/office.
- Outpatient services at a beautiful free-standing cancer center; collaboration with infusion no inpatient consults.
- Oversee new 19-chair infusion room with onsite mixing pharmacy and nurse navigation.
- Participate in leading-edge clinical trials; affiliated with Oregon Health & Sciences University.
- Enjoy a full spectrum of services including cardiology radiology emergency care and surgical care.
- Maintain a collaborative network with a high-caliber nursing infusion team.

Qualifications:
- TRULY Board Eligible (within 2 years) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology - REQUIRED
- Oregon medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Experience practicing Radiation Oncology - REQUIRED
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Connections to Oregon such as family ties or prior residency - REQUIRED
- Interest in part-time or full-time employment - REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice history/background - REQUIRED
- Copy of the NPDB self-query report - REQUIRED
- DEA obtained prior to start - REQUIRED
- Complete presentation in Trio - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Oregon State medical license - REQUIRED
- BLS certification - REQUIRED
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology - REQUIRED
