Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree diploma or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being this case the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in valid Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.
Purpose: Alumni Affairs student employees will be responsible for data entry and research event support and completing special projects as needed.
Supervisor: Georgia Lipari Project Manager Alumni Affairs
Available hours: 9am-5pm Monday - Friday with additional hours possible depending on the events schedule. All shifts will be at least two hours.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Event support includes (but is not limited to) - answering and/or facilitating general event questions providing logistical support during the event (assisting with registration and event check-in acting as a runner etc).
Data entry & project research includes (but is not limited to) - maintenance of alumni biographical data coding alumni engagement database(s) event attendee records etc.
Special Projects as assigned - will be dependent on needs of the office and events taking place to be assigned based on skills interest or areas of focus.
Expectations:
Friendly professional customer service orientated strong attention to detail & deadlines able to maintain confidentiality tackle incoming questions and assigned projects by utilizing both critical and creative problem solving will have a sense of ownership on assigned projects strong verbal and written communication skills team player has a go above and beyond attitude.
Required skills:
Must be familiar/proficient with Microsoft Word Excel & Powerpoint as well as the Google Suite (drive mail etc). Familiarity with YouTube and other social media platforms. Familiarity of the Berklee campus offices as well as any policy and procedures.
