Job Opportunity: Physician - Anesthesiology - Cardiac in Albany NY
Join a highly respected practice in Albany New York where you will provide anesthesia care in a well-established facility. The Anesthesia Group of Albany is the largest anesthesia group in the Albany-Troy-Saratoga region serving patients with compassion and excellence for over forty years. This dynamic opportunity offers you the chance to work alongside skilled cardiac surgeons in a high-volume inpatient heart center.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia care for cardiac surgical procedures including CABG and valve replacements.
- Participate in pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care of cardiac patients.
- Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons and healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of anesthesia protocols.
- Perform a range of anesthesia techniques for various surgeries without the requirement to supervise CRNAs.
- Handle approximately 6-8 cardiac cases daily in a practice set with 30 operating rooms.
- Flexibly manage variable shifts (8 10 12 hour) and participate in a 1:5 on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesia (within 5 years of eligibility).
- ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained (to be completed prior to start).
- NY License (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS ACLS PALS certifications by time of start.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and excellent communication skills.
License and Certification Requirements:
- ECHO Board Certified or completion of a Cardiac Fellowship.
- New York Medical License (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS ACLS PALS certifications required.
