Responsibilities

Job Summary:
This job is responsible for assisting RNs and Imaging Technologists in the preliminary set up for various procedures and assisting in maintaining clean and sterile areas during procedures. Work also includes: 1) ordering/maintaining department supplies; 2) keeping work unit adequately stocked with supplies and linens; 3) assisting patient movement which may involve the use patient transfer devices and 4) monitoring equipment and arranging for repair as necessary.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepares trays and all supplies for various procedures (e.g. PICC line placement Paracentesis Biopsy exams e tc.) in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Performs routine patient care activities as directed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Orders and maintains department supplies; maintains current knowledge of stock availability and status.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements
One year of related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills and abilities.

Licensure/Certification

  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
  • Completion of HIV/AIDs training

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
