Support Worker - Days
Location: Cheltenham GL50
Hours: Full time - 45hours
Pay rate: 12.56ph

What will the Support Worker role look like for you
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable support worker to assist a young gentleman who uses an electric wheelchair full-time. While he navigates independently occasional support may be required in tight or busy environments using dual controls.
He is non-verbal and communicates using an eye gaze communication device (Grid Pad) and building rapport through respectful patient communication is key. This role involves providing full assistance with eating drinking personal care and moving and handling.
He has a wide range of interests including trucks Harry Potter reading books and cookinghe enjoys getting involved in the kitchen and will require support to do so safely. He also has a passion for monster trucks country music and academic topics making this a rewarding opportunity to form a meaningful connection while providing high-quality person-centred care.
Due to the nature of his support needs a full UK driving licence is essential.
