Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian contractor for a Full time Registered Nurse Care Coordinator/Triage at the Fairfax Ambulatory Care Clinic in Fairfax VA.
This contract position offers:
- 40 hours weekly Mon-Fri (8:30am-5pm EST or 9:00am-5:30pm EST)
- Outpatient Setting
- Opportunity to Care for our Active Duty Retirees and their families
- 11 paid federal holidays (no Sundays or on-call responsibilities)
Essential Functions:
- Evaluating patients by conducting physical examinations or interviews.
- Patient scheduling
- Reviewing medical history and determining symptoms and severity.
- Monitoring vital signs.
- Initiating emergency treatment if necessary.
- Sorting patients into priority groups.
- Communicating patient status to doctors and nurses.
- Providing education to patients and families.
- Transporting patients to appropriate treatment areas.
Job Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have a valid Real ID
- Shall have completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; and/or graduate of an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) School.
- 2 years of RN experience preferred within last 5 years
- Ability to communicate effectively with injured workers employer and treating physicians office
- Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing data entry and automated records.
