Key Responsibilities

As the Project Manager Program Manager you will oversee the implementation and delivery of services at the Calgary Career and Employment Centre ensuring contract compliance and optimal service outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Program Leadership & Delivery
    • Oversee all program activities to ensure compliance with contractual expectations standards and outcomes.
    • Develop implement and continuously improve service delivery strategies to meet diverse client needs.
    • Monitor program performance and outcomes adjusting processes as needed to meet targets.
  • Team Management & Supervision
    • Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of 17 staff including Career Advisors Admin Assistants Facilitators Coaches and Program Coordinators.
    • Conduct monthly team meetings regular supervision performance reviews and staff development.
    • Facilitate onboarding training and continuous professional development.
  • Reporting & Administration
    • Complete mid-month and month-end reporting including narrative summaries data entry and performance metrics.
    • Conduct quality assurance and monthly file reviews to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.
    • Maintain government/internal databases and support file completion requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Marketing
    • Build and maintain relationships with community partners agencies and local employers.
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote programs and attract new clientele.
    • Represent the organization professionally in the community and with funding partners.
  • Program Support & Flexibility
    • Provide client services or carry a caseload as needed to meet demand or program outcomes.
    • Ensure clients remain employed for at least 90 days after placement.
    • Support and refer clients to specialized programs such as the Innovative Program and Job Placement Program.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Education & Experience
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in project management and/or employment services.
    • Proven experience supervising diverse teams in a client-focused service delivery environment.
    • Familiarity with publicly funded programming reporting invoicing and government protocols.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based software platforms.
    • Experience with client database management quality assurance and contract reporting.
  • Key Competencies
    • Strong communication negotiation and problem-solving skills.
    • Facilitation experience and adult learning knowledge.
    • Client-centered service orientation with demonstrated empathy and motivational leadership.
    • Knowledge of local labour market Alberta employment standards and workplace safety.
    • Ability to adapt to change work collaboratively and maintain a positive professional demeanor.
