Based in Midvale we specialise in innovative solutions including industry-leading Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). At Normet youll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment while enjoying access to comprehensive training and ongoing development.

This role is primarily workshop-based but we are seeking someone who is willing and flexible to perform field service work across Western Australia when needed an hourly rate of $78 per hour will apply for field service work. Opportunity to work nationally and potentially internationally on assignments in the future.

What we offer

• Permanent full-time position offering job security

• Work between 38 hours per week Monday to Friday with additional hours during the week and ahoc Saturdays (approx. 38 50 hr per week)

• Competitive hourly rates:

  • $60 per hour (flat rate) for workshop plus superannuation paid on all hours worked

  • $78 per hour (flat rate) for field service work plus superannuation paid on all hours worked

• Early finish on Fridays

What youll need

• Strong auto-electrical knowledge experience and aptitude.

• Certificate III Auto Electrical or equivalent (Light Vehicle/ Marine/Heavy Road Transport/Agricultural).

• Ability to read electrical schematics with problem solving and diagnostic skills

• Willing and flexible to undertake on Field Service work across Western Australia if required

• Experience working in Mining/Construction/Manufacturing/Heavy Machinery

• Previous underground experience is highly desirable

• Current Forklift license (desirable)

• Be willing and flexible to perform field service work across Western Australia when needed.

• Full working rights in Australia.

The successful candidate must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and obtain a National Police Clearance before commencement.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical/electronic system modifications and manufacturing tasks on Normet underground machines

• Conduct fault finding repairing replacing and providing technical advice

• Inspect audit service repair and overhaul Normet equipment to OEM specifications in workshop or remote mine sites

• Electrical installation of accessories and ancillary equipment on a wide variety of vehicles and plant equipment.
