Job SummarySchool Year 2025-2026Position: Academic Support Professional - Grades 7 & 8Reports to: Susan DownerDaily Schedule: Days/Times (15 hours) /38 weeks Follows School Holiday and Vacation Schedules FY25 School Year Commences Monday August 25 2025Compensation: This is an hourly position with a weekly timesheet completed and compensation for hours worked Benefit Eligible: YesSick Days: Accrues 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours workedPersonal Days: 1Position Summary: The overall goal is to provide academic support to students in Grades 7 and 8 ensuring attention to individual student needs and overall readiness for high school. Sacred Hearts School is a thriving Catholic Nursery to Grade 8 school located in Haverhill : Work with the classroom teachers to develop the appropriate teaching strategies for students on an IEP or 504 plans following recommended accommodations/modificationsWork with students individually or in small groups or in the classroom as necessaryInterface with the Student Support Coordinator Meet with parents if and as neededWork with gifted students to ensure they are challengedAttend in-service days determined in advance by the Head of SchoolSupport the Assistant Principal in daily schedule/activities/duties
