Job Description

The Audio Algorithms team is seeking a highly skilled and creative engineer interested in advancing speech and audio technologies at Apple. As a member of the team you will work together with other researchers to develop novel machine learning technologies for audio will research implement and optimize these features on Apples products as we push the state of the art in audio technologies. Youll collaborate with multiple teams across product development Acoustics Audio Software and others to integrate your ideas into products and build future technologies that will impact billions of Apple customers.


  • Research experience in speech or audio algorithm development using machine learning (released product features patents papers etc.).
  • Hands-on experience developing machine learning pipelines.
  • Fluency in Python common software engineering practices and version control.
  • Familiarity with spatial audio psychoacoustics acoustics and multi-microphone processing.


  • MS/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience developing real-time machine learning audio processing features.
  • Experience with generative machine learning (diffusion flow matching etc.).
