Job Description
Cedar Park Med is seeking an experienced Dental Hygienist to provide comprehensive oral hygiene care in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in patient care including working with individuals who have physical and mental conditions and dedicated to promoting preventative oral health practices.
Schedule/Shift:
One-year contract with up to six (6) one-year renewals.
Estimated 28 hours per week 3.5 days per week (MondayFriday) during daytime clinic hours 8:00 a.m.4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Perform cleanings using hand and mechanized instruments removing all traces of calculus deposits accretions and stains from teeth.
Conduct instrumental examinations and chart conditions of teeth and surrounding tissues noting carious lesions periodontal pockets and other abnormalities.
Perform patient screenings using X-ray technology.
Administer prescribed medicaments to the gingival and apply desensitizing agents.
Instruct patients on preventative oral hygiene and oral physical therapy including brushing flossing and toothbrush care.
Maintain accurate patient records in a computer database documenting dental history conditions and services rendered.
Clean sharpen and sterilize instruments.
Requirements:
Must be certified to practice dental hygiene by the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing comprehensive dental hygiene services.
Experience working with patients with physical and mental conditions.
