Our client a growingreal estate investment firmin Westwood is seeking ahands-on Controllerto lead our accounting function. This is a key leadership role in a lean dynamic environment perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys rolling up their sleeves.
What Youll Do
- Own day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close
- Oversee two direct reports and manage third-party AP/AR support
- Prepare financial statements and coordinate annual budgets
- Manage cash flow internal transfers and intercompany activity
- Interface with lenders and respond to financial documentation requests
- Collaborate with external CPA during tax season
- Work closely with property management on CAM reconciliations
What Were Looking For
- 6 years of accounting experience (real estate or property management preferred)
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)
- Strong knowledge of cash management intercompany transactions and financial reporting
- Proficiency with Yardi MRI QuickBooks or similar platforms
- A proactive solutions-driven mindset with excellent communication skills
