Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Physician - Anesthesiology (Cardiac) in Mason City IA

Join a dedicated team at a progressive hospital in Mason City Iowa where we are seeking a full-time Fellowship-trained Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist. Our facility is part of a leading healthcare network renowned for its commitment to patient care and community health.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide anesthesia coverage for a variety of cases including cardiac thoracic vascular neuro orthopedic pediatric and OB.
Oversee the performance of CRNAs and provide guidance as needed.
Participate in cardiac surgery and provide cardiac call coverage from Monday to Thursday.
Handle general weekend call approximately six weekends per year and one holiday.
Assist in covering general surgical cases when there are no scheduled cardiac procedures.
Engage with a transformational cardiac surgery program.
Document patient information using Cerner transitioning to EPIC.
Work in a hospital setting with eight operating rooms in use simultaneously.

Qualifications:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology (with plans to test within three years).
Cardiac Fellowship and/or TEE Certified.
Eagerness to work within a collaborative team environment.
Ability to handle a range of demographic patients including adolescent child adult and geriatric populations.
Commitment to continuous professional development and education.

License and Certification Requirements:

Iowa Medical License or IMLC (willingness to obtain if not already possessed).
Iowa CSR is required.
DEA Verbal Confirmation.
BLS ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
COVID vaccination status must be current.
