Job Description
Cardiac Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Mason City IA
Join a dynamic and supportive team at a leading medical center in Mason City Iowa where we are seeking a Fellowship-trained Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist. Youll be an integral part of a team comprised of seven physicians and twelve CRNAs providing anesthesia coverage in a progressive hospital and an ambulatory surgical center. Work in a facility equipped for a variety of surgical cases with an established cardiac surgery program and enjoy a community committed to healthcare excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia coverage for general cardiac thoracic vascular neuro ortho pediatric and OB surgical cases.
- Be involved in daily work assignments and call rotations.
- Oversight of CRNAs is required.
- Cover cardiac surgeries and provide cardiac call from Monday to Thursday along with weekends and one holiday per year.
- Help manage general cases when no cardiac surgeries are scheduled.
- Collaborate within a hospital-based practice setting.
- Familiarize with documentation systems including Cerner and transitioning to EPIC.
- Support a range of patient ages from adolescent to geriatric.
- Participate in an evolving cardiac surgery program.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology (required).
- IA license or IMLC or willingness to obtain (required).
- Completion of a Cardiac Fellowship and TEE certification (required).
- Iowa CSR (required).
- DEA Verbal Confirmation (required).
- Current certifications in BLS ACLS and PALS (required).
- COVID vaccinated (required).
License and Certification Requirements:
- TEE Certified.
- IA CSR required.
- Fellowship-trained in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred.
