Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: On-site Full-Tim
We are seeking a meticulous and hands-on Laboratory Technician to support testing and quality control efforts at a greenfield superalloy manufacturing facility. This role will be based full-time on-site and play a critical role in preparing samples operating analytical instruments and maintaining laboratory standards in support of production and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will bring a methodical mindset strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring material consistency and product integrity in a high-tech metals environment.
Key Responsibilities:Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture within the lab and facility.
Prepare test specimens using equipment such as robotic mills automated grinders drill presses and metal digestion systems.
Conduct chemical and metallurgical analysis using equipment including Leco combustion and gas fusion analyzers spectrometers and powder characterization tools.
Analyze raw materials in-process samples and finished goods to ensure compliance with internal specifications and customer quality standards.
Accurately document test results perform data analysis and contribute conclusions regarding material conformity.
Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on sample prep equipment and analytical instruments.
Assist in equipment calibration and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and uptime.
Support the development and refinement of laboratory test procedures and best practices.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support process control continuous improvement and nonconformance investigations.
Aid in the preparation and submission of documentation for regulatory and quality compliance.
Associate degree in Chemistry Materials Science Metallurgy or a related technical field OR at least 3 years of hands-on experience in a metals testing laboratory environment.
Experience operating laboratory equipment for elemental and powder analysis.
Familiarity with quality standards testing protocols and laboratory safety practices.
Proficiency in data entry analysis and reporting using LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Strong organizational skills communication abilities and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
