Job Description
Location: Crownpoint NM 87313
Shift Timings: Rotational (including days evenings nights holidays and weekends)
On call or Callback may required
Duration: 1 Year (options for 26 weeks contract)
Qualifications
- Education: Must have Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
- License/Certification: Certification as a Medical Technologist by ASCP AMT or HEW.
- Other Requirements: Letters of recommendation (minimum 2).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and analyze laboratory tests on various specimens to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Operate calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with CMS TJC and laboratory quality control standards.
- Document test results and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Develop and implement quality improvement measures to enhance lab efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide training technical guidance and mentorship to laboratory and ancillary staff.
- Participate in rotational shifts and on-call duties including evenings weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of services.
- Support the implementation of new laboratory testing methods and assist with troubleshooting issues.
