Nottingham City Councils Greenspace and Natural Environment team is proud to manage our citys amazing greenspaces - from vibrant parks and peaceful nature reserves to the green corridors that connect our communities. As an award-winning team were passionate about shaping spaces that inspire support wellbeing and celebrate biodiversity.

If you excel at maximising revenue unlocking untapped potential and leading at the crossroads of strategy activation and revenue this could be your next big impact role.
What youll be doing
- Leading 3m Greenspace capital investment programmes from inception to completion
- Leading the activation and commercialisation of our citys parks and green assets.
- Developing new income streams partnerships and funding bids (think Sport England NLHF S106)
- Oversight of leases tenders contracts and robust supplier relationships
- Annual fees & charges benchmarking and performance reviews
- Service-level financial forecasting and budget delivery
- Smart inclusive use of public greenspace that enhances lives and service resilience.
Reporting to the Head of Greenspace & Natural Environment and helping shape a future where nature is at the heart of city life and pays its way.
Who Were Looking For
Youre an entrepreneurial thinker with strong roots in capital delivery contract management or commercial planning and a soft spot for urban greenspaces. Youve likely worked in local government consultancy parks sports or environment-based industries.
- Youll bring a track record of leading high-value programmes (ideally 1m capital projects)
- Experience in crafting or managing commercial partnerships and contracts
- Financial literacy forecasting fees and funding savvy
- Understanding of greenspace operations biodiversity or placemaking
- Confidence to matrix-manage stakeholders and present ideas at senior level
- Passion for public service people and place
