Electrical Engineer
Location: Delphi Indiana
Reports to: Director of Engineering

Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the development implementation and maintenance of electrical and control systems for multiple facilities. This position will also include oversight of the Plants power distribution systems including but not limited to: transformers switchgear capacitor banks distribution panels and power panels.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement electrical control and distribution system projects independently and with other engineering staff.
- Design and implement hardware and software installation for network and data projects.
- Collaborate with Engineering staff for equipment modification/installation and start-up.
- Assist with updating electrical distribution and control system schematics for improved safety and troubleshooting.
- Collaborates with electrical engineering technicians on monitoring troubleshooting and corrective actions required for plant systems.
- Coordinate with maintenance department on electrical preventative maintenance.
- Perform other tasks or duties as required or needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
- Minimum 10 years experience in food processing manufacturing or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of control system design within understanding of NEC OSHA and similar regulations.
- Understanding of low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Proficient with PLC programming either Siemens or Allen Bradley and associated HMI systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills on electrical systems.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with people at all levels.
- Flexibility to work on a variety of shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in extreme hot cold wet humid and odorous environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Autodesk software.
- Ability to travel to other locations as needed.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on the site including exposure to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in cold hot and outdoor conditions that include inclement weather heat and humidity and exposure to dust.
Physical Demand:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The position lifts heavy objects walks and stands for long periods of time under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts pushes pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand hand with arms and fingers two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina and vision.
