Job Description
Job Opportunity: Full-Time Locum Orthopedic Surgeon in Mason City IA
Join a dedicated team at a premier medical center in Mason City Iowa known for its excellence in patient care. This facility serves as a hub hospital catering to over 200000 residents across 16 surrounding counties. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive orthopedic care including clinical consultations surgeries and trauma management.
- Perform total hip knee and shoulder replacements as well as hand wrist ankle and other orthopedic procedures.
- Manage rounding on post-operative patients and conduct inpatient and ED consults.
- Participate in on-call rotations including 24-hour coverage with follow-up clinics for patient care.
- Supervise and mentor advanced practice providers and medical staff.
- Utilize EMR systems for efficient patient record management (GE Centricity and Epic).
- Engage in teaching opportunities with IM and FM residency programs and PA student rotations.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified (REQUIRED).
- Clean malpractice history (REQUIRED).
- Active Iowa Medical License or active IMLC (REQUIRED).
- Availability for at least two weeks of coverage per month (REQUIRED).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery (REQUIRED).
- Active state medical license in Iowa or IMLC.
