Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectural designs that adhere to all applicable fire and life safety regulations codes and standards.
  • Review and validate design documents for compliance with QCDD and other local authority requirements.
  • Coordinate with design MEP and construction teams to integrate fire safety solutions into project designs.
  • Prepare and submit QCDD-compliant drawings and documentation for authority approvals.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify that construction aligns with approved fire safety designs.
  • Advise on fire safety strategies evacuation routes fire compartmentation and fire protection systems.
  • Liaise with local authorities and regulatory agencies to facilitate approvals and ensure project compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams on FLS requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of 10 years experience as an FLS Architect with a strong background in code compliance.
  • Proven track record of successful QCDD approval for multiple projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local fire safety codes NFPA standards and international best practices.
  • Excellent coordination communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and other relevant design software.
