Job Description

Experienced Residential Conveyancer
Location: Sleaford Lincolnshire
Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Overview
A well-established and reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its team in Sleaford. This role offers the opportunity to handle a varied caseload work in a supportive environment and benefit from a strong local and regional client base.

The Role
You will manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion ensuring the highest standards of client care. The role requires strong organisational skills the ability to work under pressure and excellent communication with clients estate agents and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing files

  • Generate new work and convert quotations into instructions

  • Conduct and review necessary searches

  • Liaise with clients and maintain regular updates with estate agents

  • Prepare standard contract documentation

  • Identify opportunities for cross-referrals to other departments

  • Handle exchanges completions and all post-completion work including SDLT submissions and Companies House filings

  • Ensure accurate file closure and compliance with internal procedures

  • Keep up to date with changes in conveyancing law and practice

  • Maintain accurate records of time and billing

  • Follow case management workflows and quality procedures

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experienced Conveyancer with a proven track record of managing a busy residential caseload

  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors Accounts Rules

  • Confident in handling matters from start to finish with minimal supervision

  • IT literate with experience using case management systems

  • Excellent communication planning and organisational skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Team-oriented with a proactive and client-focused approach

Desirable

  • Legal Executive or Solicitor qualification

  • Experience using SOS Connect

  • Previous experience in cross-referring clients to other legal services
