Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Designer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing drafting and engineering security systems for a variety of projects ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed security system designs drawings and schematics for CCTV access control intrusion and other integrated systems
- Interpret project specifications blueprints and scope documents to create accurate system layouts
- Coordinate with sales project managers engineers and installation teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
- Select and specify equipment materials and installation methods
- Prepare and maintain as-built drawings upon project completion
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes standards and customer requirements
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to evaluate products and solutions
- Support estimating and proposal efforts with technical design input
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in security system design
- Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD Bluebeam or similar software
- Strong knowledge of CCTV access control intrusion detection and integrated security systems
- Familiarity with NEC NFPA UL and other relevant codes and standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
