We are seeking an experienced Aviation Civil Engineer to design manage and deliver landside civil engineering projects for airports and aviation facilities. This role offers the opportunity to take on increasing project leadership responsibilities collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to projects that keep Americas aviation infrastructure moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the design and project management of aviation civil infrastructure projects.
- Prepare construction drawings cost estimates technical specifications and contract documents.
- Coordinate and run project meetings with clients contractors and internal teams.
- Review and analyze survey data maps blueprints aerial imagery and topographic data.
- Perform design computations in alignment with FAA state and local standards.
- Manage and coordinate the work of subconsultants and in-house disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and update documentation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent.
- 4 years of experience in civil design.
- Proven task management experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation.
- Strong skills in construction cost estimating and technical specification writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory role or leading project tasks.
- Road/highway design experience.
- In-depth knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars Engineering Briefs and Orders.
- Familiarity with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria.
- Project management skills including budget and schedule management.
