Job Description

Description

Were looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team providing expert-level support to resolve complex customer issues and proactively maintain IT infrastructure. Youll work closely with our Head of Technology to ensure our customers systems are robust reliable and fit for purpose.

What Youll Be Doing

Problem Resolution & Support

  • Act as a Tier 34 escalation point for the Service Desk diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues.
  • Identify root causes of recurring problems and implement robust long-term fixes.
  • Improve design implementation and maintenance of client infrastructures including cloud servers networks and storage.
  • Manage system backups disaster recovery plans and documentation of configurations.
  • Work with vendors and assist in technology contract negotiations.

Customer Service & Operations

  • Ensure customers receive exceptional service and are fully satisfied with outcomes.
  • Monitor manage and enhance T-Tech and customer cloud platforms ensuring performance availability and reliability meet contractual levels.
  • Implement system management tools and processes to drive efficiency and automation.

Personal & Team Development

  • Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies achieving relevant certifications.
  • Mentor and coach Service Desk and Infrastructure team members to enhance technical skills.

What Were Looking For

Qualifications (preferred but not essential):

  • Degree in a relevant subject plus MCP Server or Enterprise Administrator qualification
  • MCSA or MCSE (Server)
  • Azure Office 365 and Windows 10/11 certifications

Experience:

  • 3 years in IT support including at least 1 year with a service provider
  • Managing servers for organisations of 50 users
  • ITIL environment experience
  • Azure VMware & vSphere (creating/implementing virtual servers)
  • FortiGate or Cisco networking
  • Layer 3 networking and subnet routing
  • Microsoft Exchange or Office 365 (migration/installation)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

Requirements
  • Preferably degree educated in a relevant subject plus at least 1 MCP Server qualification
  • ITIL 4 Certified
  • Recent Microsoft (Office 365 and Azure) VMWARE or other Professional Certifications to show technical growth and learning Proven evidence of attending or completing Management or Leadership Courses
  • A minimum of 5 years working in IT support in a Senior capacity at least one of which working for a service provider
  • Proven experience of managing Infrastructures on Premises and Cloud
  • Experience of working in an ITIL environment
  • Track record of leading change and process improvement
