Job Description Summary

Shift: Monday-Friday 12:00PM - 8:00PM

In accordance with C&W Services policies and procedures the General Cleaner position will support custodial service delivery of the facility services operations for C&W Services. Duties will include performing day-to-day and periodic cleaning activities in general offices restrooms lobbies and corridors and exterior areas utilizing industry best practices. Basic responsibilities will include any combination of the following: emptying waste baskets; dusting spot cleaning care of furniture desktops telephones glass surfaces upholstered surfaces; basic floor servicing (including buffing sweeping and vacuuming) cleaning of fixtures floors and walls; and the policing of waste in restrooms. Specific responsibilities for each individual as a Cleaner will be determined by client expectations Janitorial Manager/Supervisor discretion and Cleaners capabilities and experience.

Job Description

l Performs daily and periodic tasks in assigned areas as directed.

l Maintain a neat and orderly work area including janitorial closets and storage areas.

l Perform all cleaning assignments in accordance with C&W Services approved procedures.

l Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and notify the Supervisor or Manager if repair or replacement is necessary.

l Work safely and promptly inform supervisor about unsafe conditions existing in the work area.

l Wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the task being performed.

l Meets all client and C&W Services quality expectations in assigned tasks.

l Assist in orientation and training for new employees as directed.

l Adheres to proper security procedures.

l Notifies C&W Services management about any issues that may affect service to the client.

l Performs restroom procedures:

1. Damp wipe glass surfaces.

2. Empty waste baskets service soap and toilet paper dispensers.

3. Dust sills and other horizontal surfaces.

4. Clean tile walls shelves stall partitions.

5. Clean sinks toilets urinals following procedures.

6. Sweep mop and scrub floors.

7. Monitor defects such as clogged toilets urinals faucets problems and lights out and report issues to Supervisor

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement the geographic area in which the work will be performed market pay rates in that area and the candidates experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $19.65 - $19.65
