Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Vascular Surgery
Join a dynamic healthcare team at a clinical facility located in Pueblo Colorado! This facility is seeking 1-2 locum providers to enhance their operations with ongoing clinic and call coverage. The medical center is equipped with a Vascular Lab onsite and offers a supportive environment for patient care. The ideal candidate will appreciate the flexibility of the locum position while contributing to a high level of service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide surgical care primarily to an adult patient population (100% adult).
- Handle an average caseload of 15 patients per day.
- Participate in clinic coverage along with on-call duties requiring willingness to cover various shifts including 24-hour call shifts.
- Coordinate with ancillary staff which includes medical assistants and vascular techs to optimize patient care.
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system for patient records and documentation.
- Ensure patient safety and high-quality care in a Level III Trauma facility.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Vascular Surgery REQUIRED
- Valid BLS certification REQUIRED
- Active Colorado medical license or IMLC REQUIRED
- COVID Vaccination REQUIRED
- Experience with EPIC EMR: please specify years and last use date REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice and background history REQUIRED
- Acknowledge willingness to credential without guaranteed dates REQUIRED
- Willingness to cover clinic hours REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified in Vascular Surgery
- Active Colorado Medical License or IMLC
- BLS Certification
