You will design and facilitate user studies related to cardiovascular fitness energy metabolism biomechanics and tracking of other key physiological and health-related measurements. This will include creating study-related materials facilitating participant recruitment and collaborating cross-functionally with other teams to develop and execute role will require the candidate to have knowledge and experience in measuring physiological variables and have an understanding of how to assess for potential inaccuracies and/or experimental error. The selected candidate will need to apply relevant knowledge to the design of products and their testing/validation through user studies.
Strong understanding of physiological monitoring equipment measurement techniques and interpretation of results
Knowledgable in the lifecycle of conducting research studies including: study documentation and approvals recruitment execution and data analysis
Ability to design tests isolating the impact of various factors (activities environments individual subject differences etc.) on the physiological effects being measured
Experience with exercise testing - conducting interpreting results determining when to halt testing etc.
Able to creatively solve problems and adapt quickly to changing conditions
Minimum 4 years of industry EP experience
B.A or B.S. in exercise health or biomedical sciences or related field
Experience with indirect calorimetry to measure energy expenditure for a range of activities
Experience with biomedical sensors and platforms for measuring physiological signals health wellness and/or fitness
Coding including Python MATLAB and/or R
Experience in developing participant-facing documents including questionnaires and consent forms
Strong propensity to learn from and work with others and a desire to grow within the role over time
