Description of Job

This position manages facility outside food sales through Canteen Services within the Division of Correctional Industries. Develop and implement policies to impact the facility outside food sales in an effort to maximize stakeholder interaction and internal controls. Provide professional administrative support and technical expertise to CCi Canteen Services management staff to meet the functional work units mission and performance objectives.


Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • This position maintains safety and security of facility and work sites; through clear accurate and respectful communication;
  • Position ensures all work completed is in compliance with the American Correctional Association (ACA) and any other applicable agency local state or federal regulations policy codes and standards maintaining accurate and timely documentation and record keeping for all assigned areas;
  • Provide support to Canteen management staff and Canteen Operations staff ensuring the delivery of designated services;
  • Serve as the liaison between Canteen Services stakeholders vendors the Inmate Banking office and facility staff in managing facility outside food sales;
  • Analyzes evaluates develops modifies and implements work processes to achieve program efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Enters timesheets in DCIS for Canteen Operation staff and verifies accuracy of entry;
  • Organizes Canteen Review Committee meetings compiles the agenda attends the meetings records transcribes and distributes the meeting minutes;
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of DCIS software applications including the Canteen Program which allows for uploading downloading and processing of offender orders and encumbrance of offender monies. Coordinate uploading of remote ticket files into DCIS initiate ticket printing and supervise collating inmate orders in accordance with delivery deadlines;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Four years of *general clerical experience. This experience must be clearly described in your own words within the work experience section of your application to meet this requirement. Work experience less than full time will be prorated.

*Clerical duties may include: document creation word processing; create and revise office procedures; compiling and formatting the content for program materials such as annual reports and newsletters; screening documents and supporting information to determine eligibility authenticity or identity; accounting for the units allotted funds by authorizing operating expenditures data entry; printing scanning and making copies; scheduling; arrange meeting logistics and equipment; record keeping filing and maintenance; answering multi-line phones; and general administrative tasks in an office support environment.

OR:
A combination of College or university course work in Business Criminal Justice or a similar discipline and/or relevant experience as defined above equal to four (4) years. You MUST submit a copy of your unofficial transcripts with your name college name degree and date conferred in order to receive credit.
