Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Grand Prairie TX. This role will require communication and collaboration with multiple disciplines within the production facility as well as internal and external stakeholders. The day to day business rhythm will be the application of manufacturing engineering methodologies and skills to meet customer requirements and achieve the goals and objectives of the production programs. You will be part of a team that contributes to the success of the facility and delivery of the product.
This individual will assist with the process development of multiple mechanical parts relating to an individual program. Work with shop floor personnel to develop work instructions that are accurate and yield high quality products. Work with NC programming Tool Design Engineering and shop floor personnel to continuously improve the process. Investigate and identify root cause for all defects related to the product. Support the program needs for delivery of assembled mechanical parts. Occasional travel is required.
This position requires a self-motivated individual
driven to improve manufacturing processes and
coordinate producibility issues between Technical
Operations and Production operations.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors in Manufacturing Engineering
Technology degree or related technical area
from an accredited college in a related discipline.
General understanding of manufacturing processes
Desired Skills:
Experience with manufacturing and shop floor
support
Process knowledge of activities such as ceramic
grinding machining sheet metal fabrication
welding assembly materials handling robotics
and paint / coating systems
Knowledge and ability to conduct Root Cause /
Corrective Action activities
Security Clearance Statement:This position requires a government security clearance you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level:Secret

Ability to Work Remotely:Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day 3 days off per week
