Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements define test scenarios and develop comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Perform manual testing of web mobile or desktop applications for functional regression and exploratory tests.
- Design and develop automation test scripts and frameworks for UI and API testing.
- Execute test scripts and analyze results ensuring accurate defect reporting and tracking.
- Work closely with developers and product managers in Agile teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines and maintain test environments.
- Continuously improve test coverage and efficiency by identifying opportunities to automate.
- Contribute to test documentation knowledge base and QA process improvements.
- Provide mentoring or guidance to junior QA engineers as needed.
Skills and Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with both manual testing techniques and automation testing tools.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium Cypress Playwright or Appium.
- Experience with API testing using Postman REST Assured or SoapUI.
- Programming/scripting knowledge in Java Python or JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies tools and processes.
- Experience in working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Experience in writing SQL queries for data validation.
- Good understanding of CI/CDconcepts and tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI)
Experience
We are seeking an experienced Software tester with 5 to 7 yrs for our testing team. Should have strong proficiency in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building automation frameworks executing functional test cases and ensuring high software quality standards
