Job Description
This is a 26-week travel pharmacist position at a childrens hospital. The pharmacist will work a 7-on/7-off schedule with 10-hour shifts during the long week and 11-hour shifts during the short week. Weekends are required. The position requires working in a block schedule and may involve floating between units.
- Providing pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients
- Monitoring medication therapy
- Collaborating with healthcare team members
- Maintaining accurate medication records
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience in a hospital setting (specific experience level not specified)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- 10-hour shifts (long week) and 11-hour shifts (short week) with 30-minute unpaid lunch breaks.
- Weekends are required.
- No on-call requirements.
- Block scheduling is required.
- 48-hour workweeks are not approved.
