Inova Peterson Life with Cancer at Inova Schar Cancer Loudoun is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist II to join the responsibilities include providing distress screening individual short-term counseling and survivorship-focused programming with patients in Cancer Survivorship who are receiving services at Inova Schar Cancers Survivorship Clinic and at Life with Cancer. Full-time Day Shift: Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

Behavioral Health Therapist I Job Responsibilities:
- Provides a range of mental health and/or substance use disorders therapeutic interventions psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
- May participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs facilitate support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health medical diagnosis chronic or life-limited illnesses while assisting with community outreach.
- Duties will be performed under the clinical supervision of an approved clinical supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree Ph.D. PsyD EdD in mental health social work counseling psychology or behavioral health-related field
- Experience: Internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment completed within 90 days of employment.
- Certification: Basic Life Support Within 3 Months. CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
