The Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation situated within Sargent College has been devoted to improving the lives of individuals with psychiatric conditions for over 45 years. Our Research Training and Services divisions work to achieve this goal by researching and developing new interventions by disseminating new advancements and programs to the field and by providing programming that teaches critical skills to promote success in whatever goals our participants may have as students workers and citizens.
The Centers College Mental Health Education Program (CMHEP) ( is currently inviting applications for a full-time Training Associate position. CMHEP provides educational programming for individuals and their families who live with mental health conditions. Our Training Associates (TAs) engage students and their families affirmatively and skillfully as people first with inherent strengths through teaching coaching advising and advocating. TAs coordinate and develop relationships with other academic health and community resources to assist the student and their families to thrive while living with a mental health condition as students workers and family members. TAs are expected to participate in other related training and research events within the Center at the University and in other educational and health environments as well as assist in the development and implementation of innovative curriculum and programming.
We seek candidates with diversity of experience and perspective who have broad knowledge within the field of counseling education psychology social work and/or rehabilitation and whose teaching pedagogies encourage full participation. Exceptional interpersonal skills flexibility adaptability and multi-tasking are all essential skills for this position.
