Overview
In this role you will be responsible for reporting and compliance activities performed within the US Government Compliance team; from set up and maintenance within SAP to providing data to support necessary reporting requirements. This role regularly interacts with mid to senior level management in the areas of Accounting and Finance Operations and Information Technology Services to discuss and resolve issues or recommend improved business practices and processes.
Responsibilities
- Material mapping and maintenance and project setup including maintenance within SAP
- Labor reconciliations and labor transfers payroll and timesheet reviews
- Various business system and controls audits
- Assist process owners with policies and procedures reviews
- Complete annual incurred cost proposal
- Gather information and complete scheduled reports and required filings
- Gather information and complete required surveys procurement fee payments and other government reporting
Requirements
- 1 year of prior relevant experience in Accounting or Compliance
- High level of attention to detail excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal written and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills including diplomacy negotiating reasoning and problem solving
- Ability to develop strong analytical skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
- Bachelors in Accounting or in a related field with an Accounting Certificate or qualification which meets the California CPA eligibility requirements
Recommended Qualifications
- Masters in accounting or a related field
- SAP experience or other major ERP system
- Experience with a public accounting firm and/or corporate industry experience with emphasis on financial and accounting applications controls
