Position Title:Staff Sonographer - Ultrasound Team
Location: Onsite - Burlington VT
Schedule:
- Sunday: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Monday-Wednesday: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Eligible:
- External candidates (no employment within the network in the past year) are eligible for a $10000-$15000 hiring bonus paid in installments based on experience.
- Relocation assistance of up to $9200 is available for candidates relocating from more than 50 miles away.
Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Staff Sonographer to join a patient-focused ultrasound team that values collaboration professional growth and a supportive work culture. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while working with a dedicated group of imaging professionals in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine and complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves.
- Customize examinations based on patient needs anatomy and diagnostic concerns.
- Adjust ultrasound equipment and techniques to obtain optimal imaging even in challenging cases where imaging may be degraded by factors such as lung bowel gas or bone.
- Collaborate with physicians and peers to ensure accurate timely results.
- Work independently under physician supervision while maintaining professional communication and teamwork.
Why This Role is Unique
Unlike other imaging modalities ultrasound requires a highly tailored approach to each patient. The Staff Sonographer uses both technical skill and diagnostic expertise to adjust the exam find optimal acoustic windows and obtain additional images when abnormalities are identified making this role critical in accurate patient diagnosis.
Qualifications
- Credentialed by ARDMS or equivalent in relevant specialty areas.
- Experience performing a range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
- Strong technical skills in adjusting and operating ultrasound equipment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
